SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern (Revised)

The revised SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern was released along with the SSC MTS Notification. The Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in 2 Sessions: Session 1 and Session 2, and both the Sessions are mandatory to attempt.

SSC MTS General Awareness Syllabus

The General Awareness section of the SSC MTS exam is designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. It will also assess knowledge of Current Affairs and everyday observations, particularly in scientific contexts.

Topics Covered

The General Awareness section will include questions based on the following topics:

  • Current Affairs - Important national and international events happening in politics, economics, sports, etc.
  • Sports - Knowledge of major sports events, records, athletes, etc.
  • History - Basic questions related to Indian and world history, including freedom struggle and key historical events.
  • Culture - Indian culture, heritage, art, music, dance, and literature.
  • Geography - Questions related to physical and political geography of India and the world.
  • Economic Scene - Economic policies, government schemes, budgeting, banking terms, and major economic issues.
  • General Polity - Questions on Indian Constitution, governance, the structure of the Indian government, and political history.
  • Scientific Research - Recent scientific developments and technological advancements.
  • Static GK - Knowledge of static facts related to Indian and world geography, historical sites, and famous personalities.

General Guidelines

- The questions will be of a general nature and do not require specialized knowledge from any particular discipline. - The test will assess general knowledge and practical application in daily life. - No prior in-depth study of specific subjects is required, but awareness of current events is essential.
